Core Values of Faith Baptist Church

 

  1. Biblical Authority – The Scripture is the sole rule for our beliefs and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

  2. Discipleship – This is the Great Commission command. It is developing the image of Christ in self and others. (Mat. 28:19-20; 2 Tim. 2:2)

  3. Excellence – This is the attempt to model the superior quality of God in every area. It involves both discernment and dedicated development. (1 Cor. 10:31; Phil. 1:10; Col. 3:23)

  4. Integrity – This is the quality of being honest and transparent, and practicing sound Biblical principles and character. (Prov. 11:3; Rom. 12:17)

  5. Prayer – This is simply talking with God. It includes praise and petitions to our heavenly Father. (Eph. 6:18; 1 Thes. 5:17; 1 John 5:14-15)

  6. Preaching – This is proclaiming the truths of God’s Word. Preaching is the central and primary aspect of public ministry. (Rom. 10:14-15; 1 Cor. 1:18, 21)

  7. Service – This is the imitation of Christ by selfless acts of love for God and others.  (Mark 10:45; Romans 12:1-2; Gal. 5:13; 1 Peter 4:10-11)
